When is my first payment due?

​Fall 2024 residents will need to pay their first installment by July 15th, 2024.

Will you send me a bill each month for my rent?

​We do not send any type of invoice for rent. However, rent is due on the 1st of the month and is considered late on the 5th. 

Are apartments furnished?

Our apartments are fully furnished and will include designer furnishings, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a 55" TV in the common area. 

When can I move in?

​Our move-in date for Fall 2024 is August 23rd, 2024.

How close to campus are you?

We are located 0.5 miles away from the University of Texas at Austin.  

What types of leases are available?

We offer 12 month installment leases for studio, 2- and 4 - bedroom apartment.

What size are the beds?

Our beds are full-size, extra-long. We suggest you bring queen sized sheets, which will work well instead of paying higher prices for "special" sized sheets. 

Can additional furniture be brought into the apartment?

You are welcome to bring additional furniture with you, but don't forget that we fully furnished all of our apartments. You are welcome to move the furniture around to best suit your preferences, however, if any furniture is removed from the property it will need to be stored at the expense of the resident and brought back at the end of your lease in the same condition it was originally in.

Do I need a guarantor?

All leases are required to have a guarantor. If a guarantor cannot be obtained Union on San Antonio will accept a security deposit.  

Can I pay my bill with a credit card? Is there an extra charge?

Yes! View your balance, submit an electronic check, or pay with a VISA, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover from any computer or smartphone by clicking the "Resident Login" button. There are convenience fees that apply with the use of a credit card, or no fee for payments made by eCheck.

What if I need to cancel my lease?

Leases are legal contracts for the said term. Residents are responsible for the entire term of the lease. Union on San Antonio does offer reassignment options, which allows you to provide a new lease holder to presume responsibility of the remainder of your lease with a fee. Please contact our team for more information.  

Do you allow pets?

Union on San Antonio is a pet friendly community for approved, cats, dogs and service animals. No more than two animals are permitted in a single apartment. Please contact the leasing office to discuss weight limits and breed restrictions.

How many people live there?

Union on San Antonio is set to accommodate 991 residents. We can't wait to meet you! 

When do I put down a deposit?

If you do not have an approved guarantor, you must pay the deposit when signing your lease. The lease agreement is not finalized until the security deposit has been paid. 

Is parking available?

​Union on San Antonio offers covered garage parking. Spaces are limited and there is a monthly cost associated with parking in our garage. Please contact the office for pricing and availability.  

How do our rates compare to on-campus housing rates?

When comparing our rates to on campus rates you must take into consideration many variables, including floor plan layout, square footage, furniture, utilities, and community events. Our leasing staff is available to discuss with you how our rates compare to other housing options and validate that our community offers you the best value for your money, as well as a great location and incredible amenities.

If I pay in full, do I get a discount?

Union on San Antonio does not offer discounts for rent paid in full. However, prepayment gives you the peace of mind knowing that your account is in good standing at all times!

What utilities are included in my rent?

Our rental package includes high-speed internet, pest control, water, and trash. We have partnered with Conservice to provide individual utility billing for each resident's use of electricity and gas. 

When is S.M.A.R.T Housing Available?

Rates for S.M.A.R.T Housing are set by the City of Austin and sent out to the property every July. Spaces are filled on a first come first serve basis, to reserve your spot complete your lease ASAP.

What is SMART Housing?

​S.M.A.R.T. Housing, a program created by the City of Austin, aims to aid students who are receiving need-based financial aid, paying for school via student loans, or working to pay for school and living expenses independently. In essence, the City of Austin created the Safe, Mixed-Income, Accessible, Reasonably Priced, Transit-Oriented (SMART) housing program to help make rent more affordable!

What if I Qualify and My Roommate Doesn't?

We are able to place S.M.A.R.T Housing residents with roommates who sign market rate leases.​

How do I qualify?

Apply for SMART floor plan and email your UT Cash Page or Income Verification form to [email protected]

Space is not secured until fully executed lease and all qualifying documents received.​

What floorplans do you offer SMART housing in?
